We are on the brink of embracing the infinite expanse of space, the precipice of breaking the shackles of scarcity. Yet, THE question lingers in my head, unanswered: will our nature shift in the wake of abundance? Economics, at its core, is the science of navigating the treacherous waters of scarcity. But what becomes of us when these waters calm?
Could it be that our collective lethargy and penchant for casting blame other cultures, lifestyles and ethnic groups are a symptom of scarcity? Or are we already in the post-scarcity era and simply, can’t cope with our collective shadows?
